How it all started...
The First was founded in 1957 as The Revival Center. Reverend R. D. Parker and his family lived in the upstairs of a home and church was held downstairs.
Later, a single cement block building was constructucted and served as the church for several years. The Revival Center was then brought into the fellowship of the Assemblies of God.
A new sanctuary was then added and the previous church served as Sunday School rooms. In the 80's a foyer was added.
Through the years many lives have been touched and brought to a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a testimony to the faithfulness of God that the church still stands as a beacon to the community as The First.

Where we are headed...
In 2020, the Lord gave the leadership at The First a vision of a great Harvest. God has already done so much and The First continues to work to prepare and to bring in the harvest.
In the very near future we will break ground on a new facility as part of the preparation for the harvest.
